Things With Answers Already

A song is missing, or the library looks wrong. Settings → Rescan Library. The app reads what Android's media index knows about; a file Android has not indexed yet will not appear until it does, which usually means a reboot or moving the file into the Music folder.

A song is filed under the wrong artist or album. Library Health → Find fixes, and review what it proposes. Nothing is written until you accept it, and every write can be undone from Library Health.

Tag repair says it could not write a file. Android asks for permission on each write; if you declined, run it again. Files on an SD card, or in folders another app owns, may be read-only to us.

"More at this tempo" or the key chip is empty. Library Health → Listen to all songs. The app measures tempo, key and energy from the audio itself; it takes about a second per song and runs in the background.

A lossless file is marked as coming from a lossy one. The spectral check looks for the frequency cutoff that lossy encoders leave. A FLAC made from an MP3 has one; a real one does not. If you believe the check is wrong for a specific file, tell us which and we will look.

Scrobbles are not showing up on Last.fm. Check Settings → Scrobbling says "Signed in as" you. A track counts once you have played half of it or four minutes. Plays made offline are sent when the network is back, in order.

I paid and Legendary has not unlocked. Open the Legendary screen and press Restore purchase. If it says no purchase was found, check that Google Play is signed in with the account that paid. If it is still missing, email us with the Google Play order number and we will sort it out.

The equalizer or Effects says Android refused it. Android's audio system sometimes stops handing out effects until the phone restarts. Restart the phone, play a song, then open Audio again.

I want everything gone. Uninstall the app. Everything it knows lives on your phone and goes with it. Your music files are untouched.
